I read that the consecrated host is placed in a monstrance for adoration. I was just wondering, is the blood also adored? If not, why not? If so, is it also placed near the host and tabernacle?

The Sacred Blood is generally consumed entirely before the end of Mass (though of course we adore Christ present in the chalice at Mass just as we adore Him as the Host).

It is worth noting that either species of the Eucharist contains the resurrected, indivisible Body, Blood, Soul and Godhood of Jesus Christ. So at Adoration we are worshipping His Blood as well.

Our Lord is fully and substantially present - body, blood, soul, and divinity - within the Host, just as He is fully and substantially present in the Chalice.

The entirety of Our Lord is present in the Host - including His Precious Blood.

To expose for adoration the Eucharist under both species may promote the erroneous idea that He is not fully present in one species alone.

The Precious Blood is normally never reserved in the tabernacle because the species will corrupt with rapidity and requires greater care; it can be reserved briefly and if necessary for providing Communion to the sick who are otherwise unable to receive the Host. Therefore, no, there is no provision for the Precious Blood is to be exposed for adoration – although the Eucharistic miracle of Lanciano involved both the Host and the contents of the chalice and these are each exposed respectively in crystal in the shrine in Lanciano.
