So my wife delivered out newborn yesterday so we were at the hospital. I got breakfast in the cafeteria and came back to the room my wife was in. A half hour after I had eaten a extraordinary minister of the Eucharist came in asking if my wife wanted communion who said yes (we are Catholic). So as the woman grabs the Eucharist she grabs two, and gives one to my wife and then gives one to me. I had a moment of debate cause I knew I had eating within the last hour. I ate the body though. Afterwards I was wondering if (considering the circumstance) was that a mortal sin?
