Emergency is not quite accurate. If you only have one priest, no deacon and there are hundreds of communicants, the time required may make the use of EMHCs legitimate. As would their use if there is only one priest, no deacon and you are offering the Chalice with the Blood of Christ. But their use is certainly too widespread and not always legitimate. if you have not been appointed by your bishop or priest to be in charge of this matter at your parish, let it go. the priest is the liturgist of the parish and it is up to him to follow church directives. You already have a tendency to be overcritical of your own behavior to the point of reaching a dangerous scrupulosity. don’t extent this to worrying about areas beyond your control.
