My thoughts are that if it turned that appearance at or straight after consecration, I’d be willing to believe it. The thing is that it was sitting or floating in water for a few days and the result can be explained by science.

Still, it’s an interesting thing to happen.

It could be just a photoshop, but anyway it’s nice that miracles are happening, especially eucharistic miracles. 😉

That is very interesting. As I’ve begun to re-establish my faith, one of the things I have found most mysterious and exciting are the Eucharistic miracles. When you consider what we believe about the Eucharist, it is not hard to imagine this to be very possible.

Some of the comments on the blog stated that the proper procedure after dropping a Host on the ground is to consume it, but the priest here tried to dissolve it in water. Which was correct? Does anyone know the proper procedure or where to find it?

The priest did the right thing. In a sacristy, there is a sink-like thing called a sacrarium which goes into the earth instead of sewage lines. Corrupted Hosts are to be dissolved and disposed of in the sacrarium.

Not sure if it is supposed to be forgotten for a few days though. If it turns out to be a miracle, it may be a “hint” 😉
