Hi all,

Just a quick one. I’m starting to attend mass again. Due to our Reverend managing two separate parishes our times where changed which I couldn’t attend due to work. Recently they’ve been changed again meaning I can attend mass more often which is brilliant news. I have a timetable of the services and it sais ‘Eucharistic Service’ is that just a normal mass? Or is that something individual people book. Just so I know for future reference.

Thanks.

A Eucharistic service is not a Mass. The main difference is that the hosts used at a Eucharistic service were previously consecrated at an earlier Mass, as opposed to the consecration that occurs during a Mass.

I was told to try and keep the sabbath, aside from other masses. Some churches have 5 o’clock mass. It is also authorized to go to certain orthodox masses in case of emergency. Look around if you can.

Ah ok, in the previous mass people’s names where mentioned it’s just so I know if I can turn up.
