**Eugenics Hits Canada as Poll Shows Majority Would not “Allow” Birth of Conjoined Twins
**From ‘pro-choice’ to supporting forced abortion
By John-Henry Westen
TORONTO, October 31, 2006 (LifeSiteNews.com) - An alarming poll in the largest circulation national daily paper, the Globe and Mail, asked if conjoined unborn baby twins should be permitted to be born. Astoundingly, 6,648 Canadians nearly 60% of respondents, answered in the negative.
I guess anyone who does not “measure up” will be targets soon.

It’s the “compassionate” choice, who would really want to live that way?

This doesn’t surprise me. The Globe and Mail has a long history of supporting abortion, euthanasia, eugenics. Last July they featured the story of a couple who had aborted their child conceived through I.V.F. because the baby was discovered to have a chromosomal disorder. The mother had made the decision before becoming pregnant that she couldn’t accept a less than perfect child.
It is also significant that the Globe produced this anonymous piece at the same time Health Canada is developing regulations under the Assisted Human Reproduction Act to define which genetic disorders are allowed to be screened in IVF embryos. Health Canada is calling for public (name removed by moderator)ut on the regulations (see contact information below.)

“Compassionate” for the children or for those who want a perfect society void of all defects 😦
I really fear for those in the future who are born with defects - my thought is that if there are less of the them in the world, we as a society will lose our ability to be compassionate towards them. We are getting so intolerant already over the least of inconveniences. We can’t seem to tolerate sacrifice anymore.

Canada is only one step ahead of the U.S. I fear. If things don’t change, all we have to do is look north to see our future.

What people with such opinions (eugenics) don’t seem to understand si that their ‘opinion’ of mercyfully killing these babies is due to their own emotional responde and inadequate view of themselves rather than that of those who they would opt to be killed.

They cannot imagine themselves being born in such a state, they would rather die and conclude that such a decision (to prefer death) must be the best decision for everyone. And of course those dum little pro-lifers cannot undertand such a stance, and thus the decision must be made for them (or forced upon them).

And since they ae only making a sensible, merciful decision for people incapable of this common simple sense, killing or forcing parents to kill their baby is not murder.

And of course, the theology of liberation sets you free (as long as you agree with them of course, if you don’t, we’ll force you to kill your offspring anyway).

The world is in dire need of the truth… God help us all.

From the Not Dead Yet website:
Since 1983, many people with disabilities have opposed the assisted suicide and euthanasia movement. Though often described as compassionate, legalized medical killing is really about a deadly double standard for people with severe disabilities, including both conditions that are labeled terminal and those that are not.

Welcome to Canada.

Our Charter of Rights and Freedoms states that every citizen has the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of justice. In those words. Guess we are violating our own constitution.

No. They are just redifining “citizen” as being with out (name removed by moderator)erfection 😦

Nothing about what people in Canada think surprises me anymore. We are so liberal here and even though we have a Conservative government in power, they are not pushing traditional value. Sad sate of affairs here in Canada.

The bill restricting late-term abortion was put forward by someone in the liberal party.

Does that surprise you?

No it doesn’t suprise me as there are a good many Liberals who are pro-life and pro-traditional family. The problem is they have been relegated to the backbenches and are not given the opportunity to hold a cabinet post. By the way, can you source the bill restricting late-term abortion, who put it through and when? I was under the impression it was already restricted so this is news to me.
