European Parliament Calls for More Protection of Christians

The European Parliament has urged governments to do more to protect Christians from persecution.

More…
 
I have searched and searched online for the actual resolution the parliament passed-- with no luck. Several “news” stories without any link to the real article on an EU web site.
I would greatly appreciate it if anybody could find the actual document.

No kidding! 😃 I am ashamed to say how much time I spent looking for that last night, reduced to fuming to anyone who would listen about the nefarious and bureaucratic schemes of the EU parliamentarians who want to keep their resolutions secret! :rolleyes:
I wandered down several dead ends before finally locating the resolution.

I wanted to see it partly because the news stories were so vague, and listed different countries. I also have a special interest in some of the countries and wanted to see exactly what they said.

I thought this was interesting:
“15. Calls for the Council, the Commission, the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice President of the European Commission and Parliament to include a chapter on religious freedom in their Annual Human Rights report;”

Surprised that they didn’t already do that, but OTOH, it does seem that recently religious rights have not been seen by some as a human rights issue.
