Evangelium Vitae - Help!

I am trying to locate the paragraph from Evangelium Vitae where Pope John Paul II states that “all rights are illusory if the right to life is not protected”. I need this for the church bulletin and I am under a time constraint. If anybody can help me with this it would be greatly appreciated.

Actually, I think you want another of John Paul II’s documents, Christifideles Laici, section 38. The wording you cited isn’t exactly in the written text but I think it’s what you wanted.

I copied Evangelium Vitae from the Vatican website, pasted it into Microsoft Word and ran a find on the phrase you were looking for. Word said that it wasn’t in Evangelium Vitae. I also checked Fr. John Hardon’s Catechism on The Gospel of Life which has a good basic index with references to the text of Evangelium Vitae. There were some references to Pro-Life and to law and rights, but none that I checked came up with the exact phrase you were looking for.
