Evangelize with T-Shirts?

what do you guys think of this group of kids who created a t-shirt company to evangelize by bringing the catholic faith on t-shirts.

It looks nice, but I’ve noticed one of the T-shirts. The design seems to be based on a commercial of iPod. I was wondering if this has any copyright violation?

The design has:
  • “iPray” (iPod)
  • the figure in black with white string (looks similar to iPod commerical)

DH has one that has a picture of Mary on it, on back it says “Don’t Mess With My Mom, Her Son is Your God”.

One day, I threw on a Tshirt and jeans and went to run errands. That was the T Shirt I grabbed. I stopped in a little Gourmet store where I often shop, and the ladies behind the counter were VERY VERY rude to me - when I left, I realized I had that shirt on. Guess they were offended 🤷
 
At Saint Michael’s Media, there are groups who use the studio, classroom, lounge, and other areas for pro-life meetings, prayer groups, etc. The kids wear some of the coolest shirts!

I have several of the shirts from Romantic Catholic. There is also another web site, totally_catholic.com. I love Sam’s shirts also.
 
Those are pretty cool!
I got two from the folks over at monkrock.com . My favorite is the one with the St. Benedict medal design. No one around here knows what it is, let alone what it means. So far no one has asked, but I greatly anticipate the day I get to explain it’s meaning to a stranger.

I’m not sure about the figure, however puns on iPod aren’t copyright violations as far as I know.

I did want to share one (not christian) T-shirt’s logo however:

I want a t-shirt that just says

“PRAY. HARD.”

to wear with my jeans that have no knees left.
 
Wow. Yeah, although I didn’t picture it like that. was thinking of just the shirt to wear WITH the jeans but that one is cool.

My friend was talking about something like this, and this must be what gave him the idea. Instersting that this shirt is on a Catholic Site though, becasue he isn’t.

I think the problem may be that they didn’t get a look at the front of the shirt - may have thought the message was referring to your DH thinking himself God or something???

Wouldn’t they have to see the front of the shirt if they were waiting on a customer at the counter?:confused:

I don’t think it is possible that the person behind the counter could take it to mean that kage_ar’s husband considered himself god. Remember that SHE was wearing the shirt. And remember also that the message reads “Don’t Mess With My Mom, Her Son is Your God”. The closest one could get would be to assume that kage_ar’s brother thinks that he is god - in no way does it make reference to her DH unless he is the one wearing it.

I have several Catholic T’s. My Favorite is “Who started your Church?” DH has the “Cafeteria is Closed Pope B XVI” and my kids have several either ProLife or Catholic T’s. My daughter is wearing her March For Life T I got her during that trip in January right now. My 17yo ds loves to wear his to school, his favorite is one with a cross and says something about “My way or the highway” I don’t remember exactly…

I love wearing my T’s. It gives people the opportunity to bring it up as a conversation starter. I always hope people will say something or ask about them… I’d be happy to share!!!
