I know a person who self-identifies, after surgical operations, as being a woman despite having been born of the male sex.
If I refer to this friend as “she”, I am giving credence to the sinful notion that one can alter their sex, which is erroneous both morally and biologically.
If I refer to this friend as “he”, I may come off as being antagonistic and uncharitable, which may make evangelizing to this person significantly more difficult.
Thoughts?
(Note: I put this thread in the Social Justice forum since I was dwelling upon the moral aspect of this, though in retrospect it may be better fitted for the Evangelization forum, if a moderator thinks it appropriately placed there.)
