Apparently there’s a different between Eve-like beauty and Mary-like beauty. Eve has become more dominant in the last 100 years due to the television. Mary-like beauty was more popular in the 19th Century in continental Europe. These are some characteristics of Eve and Mary.

Eve
  1. obsession with skinny waist
  2. obsession with breasts
  3. short heavily-styled hair
  4. Make up and jewellery
  5. Short skirt

Anyway, I don’t even understand what you are trying to say. No one knows what either of these women looked like and there is a good chance that Eve never even existed. All you are doing is comparing what is attractive now in popular culture and saying it is like Eve, the woman who was responsible for the downfall of man, and saying what was popular years ago and saying that it is more like Mary, the pure mother of Jesus.

I don’t even understand what you are trying to say.

Anyway, I’ve only seen Eve depicted as a longhaired, somewhat plump, blond beauty, so I dunno what you mean with your Eve list. :confused:

Also, “2. hymen is more important than breasts”. What are you trying to say? This sentence makes no sense. Are you trying to say that modern men value big breasts more than virginity? Well that’s probably true, but the way you put it is very confusing.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t disagree with the pont you are trying to make, but I think you could put it better.
 
I don’t know what the original post was all about but I wanted to respond to the guy that says there’s a good chance that Mary never existed.

The Catholic Church teaches that you can believe in a literal 6 day creation or an evolution that took place over billions of years. However in any case, in whichever you choose to believe, you must acknowledge that there were two original humans that we all decend from. There was an original man, and an original Eve from which we all decend from. Otherwise there is no fall, no original sin.

I wonder where Eve would get her hair styled? It must have been difficult to get a good short haircut…mousse hadn’t been invented yet, or hair dryers.

As for the short skirts, I can imagine the scenario, “Adam is this skirt to short?” “Eve, I think you might need another fig leaf or 2.”
