Someone I’m sure will set me straight, I have been looking to no avail,
Is there a bible reading that goes along the lines of,
Even at the 11th hour you can be saved , or words to that effect ?

The closest I could come up with is the parable of the workers in the vineyard (Matthew 20). One interpretation of it is that those who come very late to Christ still receive the same reward as those who came early.

In the New American Bible, the “late-comers” in verse 3 are described as “Going out about nine o’clock, he saw others standing idle in the marketplace.”

But in other translations, I see verse 3 as “And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle.”

Yes,thanks for that, that’s what I come up with as well. But that’s not it,
Maybe I’m confused , but I think there is something about turning to Jesus even at a late stage of your life and even at the 11th hour can still be saved from your sins

The “eleventh-hour” conversion of the thief in Luke 23:32-43?

39 Now one of the criminals hanging there reviled Jesus, saying, “Are you not the Messiah? Save yourself and us.” 40 The other, however, rebuking him, said in reply, “Have you no fear of God, for you are subject to the same condemnation? 41And indeed, we have been condemned justly, for the sentence we received corresponds to our crimes, but this man has done nothing criminal.” 42 Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” 43 He replied to him, “Amen, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”

Excellent answer.

I think it has to be Matthew 20. In some translations, (King James, Douay-Rheims), we read the third hour, the sixth hour, the ninth hour, and the eleventh hour. A quick online search doesn’t turn up any other origins of the phrase “eleventh hour.” The repentant criminal on the cross comes to mind, but not specifically in connection with the eleventh hour.

So now, when Christ was crucified there was this good thief on one side of him…
