Several people I know went last night to a going away party for a friend who is becoming a monk. Ok, random, but at least it keeps the thread going. 🙂
 
Pray for me while I am on retreat to a Cistercian monastery this week.

Hi, James,

I’m 57 and looking at 2 more years, too. By the way…Assumption Abbey in Ava, Missouri, are Cistercian monks and they have just lifted their 45 age limit and now have no age limit. They take individuals on an individual basis.

So, hey ! check them out ! 👍
