I read different Saints, works of the Church, private revelation.

One common theme is praying and making recompense for the state of humanity today. How the human condition has run riot and headlong into heady self pleasure, lack of self disciple turning away from and denying God
And His adversary.

Communism ( although I still don’t quite understand how that is anti)
Family breakdown
Lack of care for different groups, ie elderly, homeless, the starving and persecuted
General drowning in depravity due to a more efficient media that can reach and corrupt extremely fast and effectively.
The drug problem and its downstream annihilation of the person

The list goes on.

Lack of love charity mercy good works kind words patience

Is this world and its inherent hate ( if you like) , far different from yesteryear.

What would a world full of inherent love be like?

What would a world where humanity was living Christian values be like?

In 1914 Pope St. Pius X had a vision about Vatican City and a successor. At the end of his statement about his vision he said:

"Respect for God has disappeared from human hearts. They wish to efface even God’s memory. This perversity is nothing less than the beginning of the last days of the world."

If we accept this as the norm, this amount of love , care , charity, worship of God, and this is very much an outlier on the bell curve on the history of Humanity,

What was/is living inside the apex of the bell curve like?

I would say Noah’s time was an exception given God wiped Creation out due to its evilness.

Our Lady of Akita said that mankind is currently more sinful.than when God had to flood the world with the Ark.

Thats so astounding and gives pause for meditation and reflection.

Even given the wars and brutality of past civilisations

It’s an excellent question! Before electronics and the like, what did people do and study and reject?

One thing I know for sure is we are going farther and farther from what Jesus intended when we start our own churches on Main Street, USA, (where the insurance company or Dentist used to be located) and decide we are “Super Christians” who do not follow the ancient teachings.

It’s only in modern catholicism that religion has had a loving God. Look at the old testament. Recall Jesus was in trouble for performing miracles, acts of God, on the Sabbath!

Well he definitely lived in a bad time. Just considering the racism and anti-semitism then is enough to make one question the human heart.
