So what comes out as a straight result that the new born babies and all mankind is sinful just because they are the result of a lady mating with a man.
Try to tie the Jesus birth with all that and you will, I hope, come to the same conclusion that the sinful nature is somehow tied up with the sexual mating and conception. Please look into it and find out what it is all about. I am sure that I had the impression that amongst christians, all types of mating, married or unmarried” was considered a sin
Hi

I think that planten’s wiew point is logical.

His argument is that why to consider a new born baby as sinful, if the baby is born legitimately from a married husband and wife. My catholic friends , in my opinion, have just to cite the phenomenon when a baby- all babies in the world including, is born sinless.

If one cannot cite such a possibility; then logically sex of a man with a woman whether married or not is (or should be) sinful as our Catholics friends hold wrongly in their minds.

This is only a logical thing; its cure lies in thinking that every child born of a man or a woman is sinless. This establishes love and respect of every child born anywhere in the world; and I think Jesus and Mary would like it more.

I love Jesus and Mary as I do love Buddha and Krishna.

Thanks

Original sin has nothing to do with “mating”. We’re born with an inherited corruption in our nature because of the original act of disobedience, which is man’s turning away from God. Mary the Mother of God was spared this inheritance so she could carry the Lord in her womb. He is the child of God and an Immaculate human being (one with no Original Sin).
There is no sin in married people bringing children into the world, it’s a good thing, but the children still carry Original Sin because of humankind’s inheritance. We are not bad at birth but both good and bad. We need to be saved from Original Sin, and we are worth saving, because we have both a terrible corruption and a beautiful potential, and because we have immortal human souls.

Hi

There is not and cannot be any original sin. There is no concept of origianl sin in Buddhism, Hinduism, Zoroastrianism and Judaism, I think; this concept originates first time with Paul, sorry, he must have original sin perhaps in his genes. Maybe a DNA test of Paul might or might not confirm it .

No disrespect to anybody is intended; we are just discussing things in search for truth.

I love Jesus and Mary as I do love Buddha and Krishna.

Thanks

Psalm 51:5 (King David)
Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity,
and in sin did my mother conceive me.

Psalm 22:9
Yet you are he who took me from the womb; you made me trust you at my mother’s breasts.

Psalm 22:10
On you was I cast from my birth, and from my mother’s womb you have been my God.

Psalm 58:3
The wicked are estranged from the womb; they go astray from birth, speaking lies

Psalm 71:6
Upon you I have leaned from before my birth; you are he who took me from my mother’s womb. My praise is continually of you.

Romans 9
6 But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all who are descended from Israel belong to Israel, 7 and not all are children of Abraham because they are his offspring, but “Through Isaac shall your offspring be named.” 8 This means that it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as offspring. 9 For this is what the promise said: “About this time next year I will return, and Sarah shall have a son.” 10 And not only so, but also when Rebekah had conceived children by one man, our forefather Isaac, 11 though they were not yet born and had done nothing either good or bad—in order that God’s purpose of election might continue, not because of works but because of him who calls— 12 she was told, “The older will serve the younger.” 13 As it is written, “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.”

Some years back I was on the jury trying a particularly evil murderer. One of the women, who I think was from a non-denominational church, commented after we convicted him: “Now I believe in Original Sin.” It described the situation perfectly.

Please explain this comment.
Hi

Human beings have the same nature everywhere in the world. Other religons of the world have not noted this phenomenon. Paul was the first man to invent this creed as it was a important component of his theological philosophy.

Paul therefore deserves that his DNA should be checked to verify any sinful original genes.

Thanks

You have a completely faulty understanding of sin. Sin isn’t carried in the flesh - it’s carried in the soul.

Earlier you stated the following:

“If one cannot cite such a possibility; then logically sex of a man with a woman whether married or not is (or should be) sinful as our Catholics friends hold wrongly in their minds.”

**You have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about by making this claim. The Catholic Church does not hold sex between a married man and woman to be sinful. Why would you even make such a false claim? **

Besides, since when does the Christian faith depend on other religions to validate our beliefs?

Hi

There is not and cannot be any original sin. . .
I would disagree on the basis of simple observation. One cannot look at human behavior, present and historical, and not realize that there is an error in our basic programming.

Because of the disobedience of our first parents, our human nature has become disordered and we have lost the Vision of God. Every sinful action is a share in the disobedience of our first parents, however, because Adam represented all of mankind and we are the children of our first parents. Hence, we are all to blame for original sin. It is not genetic but spiritual, and since the spiritual influences the corporal, our bodies are also effected by original sin - hence, man is born defected, can die, etc. No matter how much science improves our bodies, we will still have original sin. Only the holy water of baptism, which poured forth from the Heart of Jesus when He died on the Cross, can clense us of original sin, purifying our souls; only the New Adam can save us. Our souls are stained with original sin, not our bodies - but as I said, the state of our souls, which animate us, affect our bodies too; for example, the Eucharist changes us not only spiritually but corporally. Therefore, children - indeed, all of us - are born with original sin, and if a child dies before the age of reason (which is when a child is able to commit sins), than that child still has original sin, for thought he committed no sins, he is still a child of Adam, who, as I said, represented the whole human race. The child who dies in original sin goes to hell, for where there is the stain of original sin in the soul, the soul is deprived of the Vision of God in Heaven; however, the parents can still save the child if they desire their child to be baptized (i.e., baptism of desire) and pray for his soul, because God wills all to be saved and His Mercy excludes no one. The parents have the duty of protecting their child, even from the eternal flames, but if they do not, the child will not enter Heaven. Cruel are the parents who do not help their child to be saved, for they do not do the Will of God!
