Hi,
Could you please pray for my situation… this holy week has been realy difficult. Im struggling with spiritual things and my health and university, and I was really looking forward to the Easter Vigil today, - I planned to go the Cathedral… but I just found out our car broke. We’re trying to rent a car somewhere but it’s difficult to find one. Please pray that everything works out… even now, the devil is tempting me to be angry at God and to blaspheme Him and leave Him… but I’m choosing to just accept all my crosses and His will.

You are in my prayers. Father has said many times that when things don’t seem to be going right, look at a Crucifix. In the end, all will work out. Know anyone who could loan you a car they wouldn’t miss for one evening? Or someone who might like to go, too? They could provide the car, you could pay for gas. I went to the Chrism Mass at our Cathedral on Tuesday. It was amazing! So, I pray all will work out. You can’t stay angry with God when you remember what He did for us. 'Tis the season… At 8 PM, EWTN will show the Vigil Mass from the Basilica in Washington. I pray that will be your last resort, though. Be positive, and think outside the box.

I will pray for healing, both physical and spiritual.

Well we were able to rent a car, thankfully, but then I messed up completely and committed a sin 😦 I’m pretty sure it’s mortal and it totally breaks my heart to think that I did this on Holy Saturday and now can’t receive the Eucharist on Easter. There’s no Confession offered before Mass so this is a very sad Easter for me. 😦

I was having a challenging time early in the week and did not receive Communion because I could not get to Confession before that Daily Mass. It stinks! There is no such thing as a sad Easter. You will still be in His Presence - certainly a cause for joy! Remember what did work out. When you get to the Mass, look up at the Crucifix.

You might also send a message to Fr. Serpa. He may be able to advise whether or not you should receive Jesus tonight. If not truly a mortal sin, you could receive Communion, then, go to Confession at the next opportunity. Three things are required for it to be a mortal sin. Sometimes, our conscience makes us feel unworthy - not a bad thing! Anyway, just a thought.

Glad you will get to go tonight! Take a deep breath! Say a prayer. Smile - God loves you!

If you get to the Cathedral early, you can likely grab a priest and ask him to hear your Confession.

I ended up going to the Vigil and not receiving Communion, but God still filled me with much joy and peace - after we renewed our baptism vows and after the Consecration. 🙂

When I was on my way home, I thought how awesome it is that Christ is the King forever and ever… and that I really want to worship Him forever. But I feel in my heart that right now I’m not in a state of grace and that if I die now I won’t be able to 😦 this makes me so sad, because before I had so much joy thinking about salvation. I really want to go to Confession so much!!! however I’m also afraid because my sins are so great and I fear falling into them again afterwards… I really hate these sins. I’m going to pray about this a lot.

I do feel that God really helped me 🙂

This is sort of a painful Easter for me now… I wish I could celebrate Christ’s Resurrection with more joy, instead of all this regret. I feel so badly over what I’ve done… and I can’t seem to forgive myself for it. I’m remembering the time I was much closer to God and how wonderful it was, I’d give anything to be close to Him again! I’ll be going to Confession this week hopefully…

Also it’s difficult because I prayed this whole year that my family would come back to the Sacraments, and that this would happen on Easter… (my family is Eastern Orthodox). But my family didn’t end up going to church and my dad went to work today. 😦

I feel like everything in my life is falling apart and I can’t find God… I want to love HIm so much but I feel unable to, I’m constantly being tempted with sin, and I dont know how to be reconciled with Him…

sorry I don’t want to ramble on and complain 😦

Lord Jesus Christ,
I’m upset and disturbed,
and I pray that You will grant me
the grace of inner Peace.
As You commanded the storm winds at sea to be calm,
command the storms in my life to be calmed.
Give me the patience I need
to cope with the burdens and anxieties of my life.
Grant me the strength to better deal with my problems,
and the understanding to be more tolerant
and kind to others.
Teach me to seek after Your will
which alone brings peace of mind
