In August my father had a stroke and the car that belonged to my late mother overturned and was totaled then he had to have (name removed by moderator)atient physical therapy for 2 weeks and have an operation on his carotid artery to unblock it last week. His blood sugar and blood pressure are still not stable. My main concern is about my father naturally but i have to admit I did have some slight attachment and memories of the vehicle that belong to my mother in the last years of her life.
Also in August, my favorite priest was hospitalized with anemia of unknown origin and weakness that meks him unable to walk. Many tests have been done but no diagnosis. The last i heard was around labor day when he stil couldnt stand and was in nursing home for rehab.
Then my cousin who live nearby and who we spend Christmas with since my mother died found out she had golf ball sized thing in lung while she was having xray in prep for a medical procedure involving gallstones. Gall stone procedure got shelved and she found out she has lung cancer and her left lung was removed 2 weeks ago and she is waiting to find out if she need chemotherapy.
Then my other cousin called last night and says her doctor found 2 growths on her thyroid and she is waiting to get prescription in the mail to get a test to find out what it is.
Then today - I need a medical review and opinion about some records and it has been slow locating someone to review them and today when compiling the records i found that part of the records i need to have reviewed are not in my posession and likely were lost/misplaced by one of the offices which previously handled them. They are not easily, quickly, or cheaply replaceable and i need to request another copy or find the missing ones. Now these missing records are just about the straw that broke the camel’s back.
I just feel so tired from all the stress and going to hospitals and dealing with insurance companies and nothing goes right and i suffer from depression and som psychological disabilites to begin with and my life is just so full of troubles I dont know what to do anymore 😦

Take a deep breath and let it out slowly. 🙂

You are in God’s hands. He already knows your ultimate end. He sees it as we see the present moment.

Sometimes God teaches us by events. In your case, He may be reminding you not to put all your hopes in this world, but in the next.

We all have to have a Good Friday (crucifixion) before we can have an Easter Sunday (resurrection)!

How do we build muscles? We must exercise them to the point of exhaustion, which more or less tears the tissue down, then the body builds it back up stronger. This is also how we increase our faith. How weak our faith would be if everything always went fine for us! It is through struggle and suffering that we gain a deeper faith and appreciation of God, and look towards, not this life, but the next!

Here’s a good talk that may help you by Dr. Peter Kreeft on Suffering:

alabamacatholicresources.com/Downloads/peter-kreeft_suffering.mp3

You may find some comfort in it. Just download it and listen to it on your PC (with Windows Media Player or RealPlayer, or some other similar program), or to your iPod/iPad, or an MP3 player.

God bless! And hang in there!

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women and
blessed is the Fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God Pray, for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

I know the feeling of being so overwhelmed, that you think you will never get out from under it.

Life is full of hills and valleys, and for some time now, you’ve been so far down in the valley, that you can’t see out. But life does start to slowly get better, and you will start to see out a little better as you slowly make your way back up the hill. Hang in there, the better will come.

This is when some people will turn away from God, and others turn to God. I hope that you will turn to God and hold on to Him for dear life. Ask for His strength and help to get through this. Ask for the Archangel Raphael to interceed and help those that need healing, both physically, spiritually, and mentally.

I will say a Rosary for you today at Adoration,
and will keep you in my prayers. :gopray2::highprayer::gopray2:

Holy Mother Mary embrace and bless your child.

Hail Mary, full of grace.
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

I would alter this to he is reminding you not to put all your hopes in this world, but to trust God…right here, right now. The Christian journey is not about achieving some reward in the next life…it is about awakening to the Christ in all and as all right here, right now. The road to heaven is heaven…the road to hell is hell. Pain is always part of this world…it is we that choose to suffer (resist) the current moment or accept it and allow it to lead us to God’s will.

Whoa, you have been through quite a lot lately. Here is one of my favourite passages in the bible which I hope will be of some comfort to you.
"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
"Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
“For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Matt11:28-30
I am praying for you and for your loved ones (your father, favourite priest and two cousins) …

Lord, hear our prayer.

We continue to pray

Hail Mary, full of grace.
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
