**Incidentally, I can’t find the word metascience in any dictionary. I guess you mean metaphysics but confused it thinking about science. If you meant something else, could you link a definition.
Scientific evidence just means empirical evidence, and empirical evidence just means a reason for believing something is or isn’t true based on what is actually observed rather than on theory. It’s that simple, it doesn’t rely on any highfalutin metaphysics or anything else, which is why it makes great evidence.
