Hi all!

I was recently having a debate with a good friend of mine from school (he seems like an agnostic) about Eucharistic miracles. I had posted on facebook a photo with text detailing the one in Buenos Aires. My friend objected, saying that there is no evidence of it being possible, and that if it were true, it would have made the headlines.

Admittedly, I do not have the scholarly peer-reviewed article that states that the bread really did become muscle tissue and developed live blood cells, and that there are many other miracles of this nature. This anyone know where I can get the research that demonstrates that Eucharistic miracles are legitimate? Also, does anyone know if any popular news company (ABC, FOX, CNN, etc.) covered a Eucharistic miracle in an episode or a newspaper (LA Times, NY Times, Huffington Post, etc.) that wrote an article on it?

Thank you!

Does your friend like to travel??
He can take a trip to Lanciano Italy and see the host for himself as it is on display.
Be kind to him and suggest travelzoo or expedia.

marty1818, wow! This articel is great! Thank you! Do you know where I can get a hold of a copy of the WHO’s research publications? They were published in 1976 according to the article. I went to their website and couldn’t find anything, but I’ll bet that research document till convince my friend.

dcrowmik & kear28, thank you for this extensive list! But I thought that there were more miracles, such as in the United States (which is not included in the list of 140). There are other lists of approved miracles, right? If so, how can we tell which are approved and which are not (by the Church)?

marcopolo, I have absolutely seen the video you sent me, though I didn’t finish it. I should finish it. Thank you for sending it to me.

mdcpensive1, I’m sure he does like to travel, but I doubt he could afford a trip all the way over there. I was hoping that there were one on display closer to home (southern California). As far as I know, there aren’t any here.

Thank you so much everyone! I certainly did not expect so many responses!
