So I was Googling a bit tonight (not merely out of boredom, but also out of curiosity and anxiety). And I came across an interesting link:

today.msnbc.msn.com/id/34953759/ns/today-today_people/t/doctor-claims-he-has-evidence-afterlife/

Apparently, about a year and three months ago, the Today show had a scientist who has examined the near-death experience stories of a number of people, and according to him, they seem to point to “Evidence of the Afterlife” (also the title of the book he was selling).

I have not read the book as yet, but has anyone else? What do you make of such a claim? I kind of hope that his discoveries are correct (unsurprisingly), and his claim gives me a bit of hope in a time when many people - especially the “educated” - are sceptical of things like miracles, angels, demons, and afterlives.

It also takes a small amount of weight off of my heart. It is full of sorrow, grief, and self-inflicted worry, and the hope of being able to see my loved ones again even after they die (even the ones who have yet to die) makes me worry a bit less and calms my mind.

I have not read this book but have read others. I believe in NDEs. Have had some interesting experiences with realitives who were dying as have hospice workers etc. All bring a great deal of comfort. Read the book. Another that I found very interesting is MESSAGES written by a woman whose husband died on 9/11. All very moving.
