This is a cut and paste
Good, you have indicated that this is a copy. It would have been better if you had included a link to the original source as well but despite that you are making progress.

As to the rest of your quote; I do not want to know your identity, I just want you to answer my question: Did you in fact copy your two first posts on this thread?

Has it not been said “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from divinity”. Is it not possible that “God” was in fact an entity that had the advantage of millions of years of development on his side. Who knows, maybe we will, in millions of years, reach an ascended state of existence wherein a more primitve race may perceive us as gods?

Chris LaRock:
Neanderthal: Still synonymous with brutishness, the first Neanderthal remains were found in France in 1908. Considered to be ignorant, ape-like, stooped and knuckle-dragging, much of the evidence now suggests that Neanderthal was just as human as us, and his stooped appearance was because of arthritis and rickets. Neanderthals are now recognized as skilled hunters, believers in an after-life, and even skilled surgeons, as seen in one skeleton whose withered right arm had been amputated above the elbow. (source: “Upgrading Neanderthal Man”, Time Magazine, May 17, 1971, Vol. 97, No. 20)
I’ll just talk on this last topic, I’m actually sending my DNA to National Geographic Genographic project. They are doing a worldwide study of Mitochondrial DNA. Based on the work they’ve done already, they believe modern humans came from ONE man and ONE Woman somewhere in Africa around 60,000 years ago I think.

Neanderthals were essentially stupid hunters, however we share no common DNA with them,. And it is now widely accepted that we in no way evolved from Neandethal. Essentially they were another species of animal. About 40,000 years ago the first modern man ran into Neanderthals in Europe and basically pushed them into extinction. All of Europe can trace their lineage to one of seven “Daughters of Eve”. For more information go to the website below, it’s incredibly interesting. However I wonder when this study will be thrown out as unscientific and worthless since it seems to point to the idea, that modern humans simply showed up on the African plains around 60,000 years ago, rather than evolving from apes over millions of years.

Possibly, but the more usual version is Clarke’s Third Law: “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.”

As to the rest, it has already happened. Have a look at Cargo Cults.

That’s cool! I read the article in NG and I was wondering what the cost is. I found it on your link. Thanks!

Actually it is a great example of science and speciation - predecessors of man becoming man in the physical sense (don’t know when ensoulment occurred).

Been there, didn’t like it (except for this page). Much better to ask your questions at talkorigins.org/.

don’t fall to the humanist/atheist dogma of an old earth. I give it 6000-10,000 years tops.
Your personal opinion is of no scientific value. If you want to convince me then you are going to have to offer an alternative explanation for all the evidence given by Dalrymple.

To be perfectly honest, I strongly resist the notion that anyone who believes in an “old earth” is involved in “humanist/atheist dogma”. I find that remark unnecessarily inflammatory.

Blessings,

If your goal is to disproof evolution, you are automatically unreliable. Proof can only be had from an objective viewpoint. If you start out assuming you know the answer, you’ll interpret everything you learn as supporting that answer.

Darwin’s idea of Evolution is a dogma and not a scientific observable fact. It is no more than a myth now after recent tremendous discoveries in various branches of science.

Then why don’t you educate us dummies with some examples of scientific evidence disproving descent with modification. These should be very easy to provide since they are so tremendous.

Here’s some education and It’s all biblical
Ge 1:28 -
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Here is the implication that the Earth was once populated by mankind, but for reason it was irradicated. God enters the picture and possibly creates mankind from the DNA left by the previous mankind in a hunk of clay. This replenishment is further supported later when God tells Noah’s sons to go an repopulate the earth after he irradicated mankind.
Ge 9:1 -
And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
That’s if we take both scriptures in their most literal sense.

So, here’s a question I’ve yet to hear refuted with any solid proof;
  1. Who is to say that God did not kick-start evolution with the plan for it already in mind
and
  1. What exactly would be wrong with that if He had? And before I get “the Bible says so” rolled out on me, there is the possibility of this in bits of genesis.

Yes that is a possibility as well.

To all Darwinists/Neo-Darwinists:

**Microbiologist Carl R. Woese has won the $500,000 Crafoord Prize in Biosciences given by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. The annual prize, announced Feb. 13, 2003 marks accomplishments in scientific fields not covered by the Nobel Prizes in science, which the academy also selects. The king of Sweden will present the prize to Woese Sept. 24 in Stockholm.

Woese, the Stanley O. Ikenberry Endowed Chair, changed the way scientists classify life on Earth by his discovery of the archaea. Woese joined the Illinois faculty in 1964 after working at Yale University (1955-60), General Electric Research Laboratory (1960- 63) and the Pasteur Institute in Paris (1962). In 1977, in collaboration with UI microbiologist Ralph S. Wolfe, Woese overturned one of the major dogmas of biology.**

The above News Item is taken from Inside Illinois-for faculty & Staff, University of Illinois, U.S.A.(news.uiuc.edu/ii/03/0220/0220.pdf )

**[Woese’s] theory challenges the longstanding Darwinian assumption known as the Doctrine of Common Descent – that all life on Earth has descended from one original primordial form.

“We cannot expect to explain cellular evolution if we stay locked in the classical Darwinian mode of thinking,” Woese says. “The time has come for biology to go beyond the Doctrine of Common Descent.”**

Actually Genesis 2:7 says “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground”. Seems pretty staight foward to me…

I’m actually familiar with Adnan Oktar. He is a non-scientist wrapping tired, old creationist arguments in the Koran. He still argues that the second law of thermodynamics is at odds with evolution. No scientist would make that argument because it is not correct and shows a fundamental misunderstanding of themodynamics AND evolution.

He claims that “The most important branch of science for shedding light on the origin of life on earth is paleontology, the study of fossils. Fossil beds, studied with great intensity for the last two hundred years, reveal a picture totally at odds with Darwin’s theory.” Again, completely at odds with the science.

Those are just two very basic problems with his writing. There are many, many more problems.

So, while I appreciate the link, I must ask again. Please provide some scientific evidence that Darwinism “is no more than a myth now after recent tremendous discoveries in various branches of science.”

Peace

What complete and utter nonsense. Even when we thought they were idiots, we never thought they were less than human in basic functionality.

We know they made tools. We know they used pictures to record events. We know they were capable of approaching a hunt with strategy and planning as opposed to brute instinct. We know they buried their dead and may have had beleifs in an afterlife. To equate them to being “stupid” and “animals” is just not true.
