Maybe so. What difference does it make? If we never were anything more then H. erectus, would He love us less? What I’m asking is: Do you believe Adam came from another species?

Wouldn’t it contradict the Bible? That’s the problem in the first place, no?Maybe so. What difference does it make? If we never were anything more then H. erectus, would He love us less?
Not for a Christian, it wouldn’t.Wouldn’t it contradict the Bible?
For IDers and creationists, maybe. For Christians, no.That’s the problem in the first place, no?
Doesn’t the Bible say that Adam was not from another species? What do you mean for a Christian it wouldn’t?Barbarian asks:

Why are you looking for a ‘showdown’ when the Catholic Church accepts that evolution is a reasonable theory to accept and that it does not contradict our belief in the creation of the world, but simply can be added to our belief. We do not learn that the “days” in the creation story equate to “24 hour” periods. Consequently the two theories can exist in harmony as God created everything and can create the evolutionary process as a part of the creation of the universe.I apologize for creating another thread.
I was looking for a showdown between two top authorities.
For example, Richard Dawkins vs. a top apologist
Thanks
No, it doesn’t.Doesn’t the Bible say that Adam was not from another species?
Christians don’t add to scripture. Or shouldn’t.What do you mean for a Christian it wouldn’t?
I wasn’t aware of this fact. Why are so many Christians speaking against evolutionism then? Why are you looking for a ‘showdown’ when the Catholic Church accepts that evolution is a reasonable theory to accept and that it does not contradict our belief in the creation of the world, but simply can be added to our belief. Not every Catholic accepts the Magesterium. And therefore, they feel compelled to add a little to Scripture to justify creationism.I wasn’t aware of this fact. Why are so many Christians speaking against evolutionism then?
Here is Catholic Dogma -Wouldn’t it contradict the Bible? That’s the problem in the first place, no?
There’s no vs. Both God created the world and there was evolution. We can’t explain the story of creation literally just like some protestants do it.Hey,
I’m looking for a good debate Evolution vs. Creationism Debate

If to evolve is to change then God was the first to us evolution.Hey,
