How many pure scientists actually believe in evolution?

What I mean by pure scientist–only use physical science, and math, which is not science but used by science. Oh, can a pure physical scientist actually exist–no math? Math was created by human reason, but, if I am correct, is not physical science.

If this has not been said, I would like to add that in a Catholic high school biology text book evolution is taught. It exclusively and totally science–no God allowed in the pure science book.

Then our teacher adds God.

She believes in evolution, but has to add God.

Wow! What an addition to the theory or opinion.

Is this kind of addition to the science normal?

Also, it seems to me that there is no one opinion, is that true?

Also, is it a compliation of a series of hypotheses?

Also, are there any scientists who have studied and researched in all of the fields that are covered? I mean who has done all of the field research in astronomy, geology, paleontology, chemisty, physics and mathematics. There are many other disciplines that are needed to be actually researched. I do not believe, but I do not know, that any one human being has had the time to do that. My point: there is a lot of belief in the opinions or theories.

Furthermore, metaphysics and ontology are also powerful tools. They are not physical sciences, but are sciences.

It just does not seem possible for one human being to have done the actual field research.

Also, where is the DNA on these issues?

I would be comfortable if scientists would say, I believe my fellow scientists. I believe in evolution, but not just pure physical science. If the scientists would say: “I use metaphysics and the rest of philosophy. We are filled with belief and trust in other scientists.” Also, “we have to add God to this formula and recognize that is a hugh addition to the formula.”

From what I see, evolution cannot be accepted as pure science. When us Jews or Christians accept it, we add God. When Islam accepts it, they add Allah. I would think that most religious people add a God, too.

Well, I felt pushed to share my opinions.

If you read this, I would like to hear your thoughts.

If there are any other oponions, I will read them but I will not repsond. I want to read other’s ideas.

THANKS.

GOD can be located in quantum physics more physisists(please excuse spelling) usually find the equations that make the mmiracles of God Possible according to mathmatics

wow. well for me i kinda like to keep both things seperate, it really helps streghten my faith. For instants, someone is cure of an inccurable disease, unexplainable. then scientist try to disprove God but in the end cant. so they end up proving God’s miracle 🙂 although im not so sure about these metaphysics and all that.

That is like asking, “Can a pure author exist–no language?”

You can’t write without language, and mathematics is the language that science is written in.
Also, where is the DNA on these issues?
DNA does not survive in fossils over the length of time that evolution would take place. Remember, in fossilization, the living (actually dead) material disappears and is replaced by rock. The DNA would vanish.

There are some exceptions, like bugs in amber, where there might be some DNA left. But it will still be time-deteriorated. Science can use it, but it won’t be like DNA work in a law case.

God Bless and ICXC NIKA!

We must first ask what is meant by evolution for disease, decay, dementia, death, dust is not evolution - jimc

You may want to read up on the debate between constructivism and Platonism. It is not a consensus that mathematics were created, as opposed to discovered. You’re right, mathematics is about the farthest thing from a physical science. It’s more of a language than a science actually. But it is by far the most useful tool that the physical sciences have available. Science is about discovering quantifiable relationships in things which exist (you can take that however you like :p). I suppose the short answer to this part of your question is no, a physical scientist cannot exist without math any more than a cello player can exist without a cello. Hope this is helpful.

How many pure scientists actually believe in evolution?
The vast majority, by far.
Math was created by human reason, but, if I am correct, is not physical science.
I would have to disagree here. The very concept of numbers is a part of God’s own nature (“3 Persons in 1 Substance,” etc.), and thus preceded the material creation.

Thanks for your kinds ideas and help.

What I am trying to ask: If science offers only atheistic evolution, how many scientists would accept the ideas of evolution?

Or, how many scientists add God in their own minds and thus are able to accept evolution?

Again, thanks for your kind ideas and help.

Are we forgetting the group called: Theistic Evolutionists? They have the notion that God may have done a Big Bang with a 7 billion year spin; and then left the galaxy for regions unknown.

In as much as God is still on His throne and very much in control, the above theory will not hold up under close scrutiny. Depending on which statistics method one uses there are many scientists who believe in God–Isaac Newton for example. Also, Albert Einstein admitted to an intelligence greater than his, but did not indicate a personal relationship with this intelligence.

All of this intellectual posturing is wonderful. It still does not tell us where we will be in 100years.

Wise men still seek Him.

As long as we try to force theology through the paradigm of evolution, the results will be confusion. God is not the author of confusion. Truth is Truth whether is fits the “scientific method” or not; whether we believe it or not. Man cannot define God. He made us. We did not make Him.

We have made many gods–all false. We have problems with the fact that we are dust+water+spirit. This can be demonstrated in the laboratory of life. We call the spirit phenomenal or unscientific–nonetheless, it is there. God speaks and life is created. We measure and mix and spark and make amino acids; and conclude evolution must be true. That ain’t science folks–that’s religion. In fact, evolution is the religion of science, so-called.

Where will we be in 100 years?

If the supreme being(s) is involved, it and us have a right to include it in the ideas posited by “creation” and “evolution.”

(Again, please excuse the subjunctive mood of my statements.)

As long as we try to force theology through the paradigm of evolution, the results will be confusion…
Christians believe that God is at work in all natural processes. This theological truth is known as divine providence. This applies to evolution every bit as much as to gravitation, soil erosion, or botanical photosynthesis. For example, no one would declare, “As long as we try to force theology through the paradigm of gravitation, the results will be confusion.” So, then, why insist on doing so with the natural process of evolution?

Because evolution is false, pseudo and bogus–straight from the pit of Hell. This nonsense has fostered slavery and racism throughout the world. It has also succeeded in turning many generations of young people into agnostics and atheists. If God did not tell the truth in Genesis, how can we depend on what He said in Mt. Mk. Lk. and Jn?

It takes more faith to believe in evolution than it does to believe that God did it–in six days. The world is getting worse not better God created everything perfect–it was very good. Then what happened? Man decided he wanted to be wise–knowing good and evil.

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God.

Where will we be in a hundred years? A hundred million years?

Choose wisely,

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, CRUCIFORM!!! Maybe it’s not you (if it isn’t, I’m sorry) but the way you format your text reminds me of someone that posts on CARM . . . sorry that this is way off topic!!!

Some facts:

The Earth’s size and corresponding gravity holds a thin layer of mostly nitrogen and oxygen gases, only extending about 50 miles above the Earth’s surface. If Earth were smaller, an atmosphere would be impossible, like the planet Mercury. If Earth were larger, its atmosphere would contain free hydrogen, like Jupiter. Earth is the only known planet equipped with an atmosphere of the right mixture of gases to sustain plant, animal and human life.

The Earth is located the right distance from the sun. Consider the temperature swings we encounter, roughly -30 degrees to +120 degrees. If the Earth were any further away from the sun, we would all freeze. Any closer and we would burn up. Even a fractional variance in the Earth’s position to the sun would make life on Earth impossible. The Earth remains this perfect distance from the sun while it rotates around the sun at a speed of nearly 67,000 mph. It is also rotating on its axis, allowing the entire surface of the Earth to be properly warmed and cooled every day. And our moon is the perfect size and distance from the Earth for its gravitational pull. The moon creates important ocean tides and movement so ocean waters do not stagnate, and yet our massive oceans are restrained from spilling over across the contin

Water is colorless, odorless and without taste, and yet no living thing can survive without it. Plants, animals and human beings consist mostly of water (about two-thirds of the human body is water). You’ll see why the characteristics of water are uniquely suited to life:

Water has an unusually high boiling point and freezing point. Water allows us to live in an environment of fluctuating temperature changes, while keeping our bodies a steady 98.6 degrees.

Water is a universal solvent. This property of water means that thousands of chemicals, minerals and nutrients can be carried throughout our bodies and into the smallest blood vessels.

Water is also chemically neutral. Without affecting the makeup of the substances it carries, water enables food, medicines and minerals to be absorbed and used by the body.

Water has a unique surface tension. Water in plants can therefore flow upward against gravity, bringing life-giving water and nutrients to the top of even the tallest trees.
Water freezes from the top down and floats, so fish can live in the winter.
Ninety-seven percent of the Earth’s water is in the oceans. But on our Earth, there is a system designed which removes salt from the water and then distributes that water throughout the globe. Evaporation takes the ocean waters, leaving the salt, and forms clouds which are easily moved by the wind to disperse water over the land, for vegetation, animals and people. It is a system of purification and supply that sustains life on this planet.

The human brain…simultaneously processes an amazing amount of information. Your brain takes in all the colors and objects you see, the temperature around you, the pressure of your feet against the floor, the sounds around you, the dryness of your mouth, even the texture of your keyboard. Your brain holds and processes all your emotions, thoughts and memories. At the same time your brain keeps track of the ongoing functions of your body like your breathing pattern, eyelid movement, hunger and movement of the muscles in your hands.

The human brain processes more than a million messages a second. Your brain weighs the importance of all this data, filtering out the relatively unimportant. This screening function is what allows you to focus and operate effectively in your world. The brain functions differently than other organs. There is an intelligence to it, the ability to reason, to produce feelings, to dream and plan, to take action, and relate to other people.

The eye…can distinguish among seven million colors. It has automatic focusing and handles an astounding 1.5 million messages – simultaneously. Evolution focuses on
mutations and changes from and within existing organisms. Yet evolution alone does not fully explain the initial source of the eye or the brain – the start of living organisms from nonliving matter.

(To be continued)

(Continued from previous posting)

Did you know that in every cell of our bodies there exists a very detailed instruction code, much like a miniature computer program? As you may know, a computer program is made up of ones and zeros, like this: 110010101011000. The way they are arranged tell the computer program what to do. The DNA code in each of our cells is very similar. It’s made up of four chemicals that scientists abbreviate as A, T, G, and C. These are arranged in the human cell like this: CGTGTGACTCGCTCCTGAT and so on. There are three billions of these letters in every human cell!! Well, just like you can program your phone to beep for specific reasons, DNA instructs the cell. DNA is a three-billion-lettered program telling the cell to act in a certain way. It is a full instruction manual.

Why is this so amazing? One has to ask…how did this information program wind up in each human cell? These are not just chemicals. These are chemicals that instruct, that code in a very detailed way exactly how the person’s body should develop.
Natural, biological causes are completely lacking as an explanation when programmed information is involved. You cannot find instruction, precise information like this, without someone intentionally constructing it.

Finally, it boggles my mind to realize how humans, animals, fish and plants can reproduce themselves without the intervention of God. It would be impossible for this action to take place by “chance” caused by an unknown source when the first humans, animals, fish , birds and vegetation came into existence. Is it possible for the so called Big Bang theory to include the miracle of reproduction in humans, animals, fish and vegetation? In order for this to have happened, there must also be the creation of a male and female for each of the multi-numbered species to make possible the miracle of reproduction. How did all of this come about?

Also, some say that man and woman was evolved from an ape or a monkey. Then how come apes and monkeys are still giving birth to their own kind? And by the way, where did the first ape and first monkey come from? Wherever they did come from they must have come in pairs of males and females. On this same topic, where did the first fish and the first bird come from? How could all this just happen - their must have been an intelligent being behind this. My reply is that only a supreme being, whom we call God, can accomplish this miracle.

Thanks!

A million thanks!

A billion thanks!

A million times a billion thanks!

Now a silly comment, hydogen: an odorless, tastless, colorless gas, that given enough time became human.

I messed up the quote, but I hope you see the humor.
