Well, if they are liberal, I would be more than proud to be called so…😃
I second that.

Slightly but not entirely off-topic- If and when you get ANY charity solicitation you don’t want, and IF it comes with a handy-dandy, self-addressed, self-postaged envelope:
  • Write on a clean spot, and fold so it is the first thing to pop out of the envelope, “PLEASE REMOVE ME FROM YOUR MAILING AND SOLICITATION LIST”.
  • Stuff all the stuff into the prepaid envelope, including the old envelope in which it all came.
  • Seal the envelope, with tape if necessary.
*Mail it back to them in their own prepaid envelope.

I have actually sent some people all my junk mail for the day, to get off their mailing lists…Yes, it works!!

This simple. The only ones gone wrong are those that believe they are more pious then the very Church Christ created on earth for all Christian. The very thought that they hold to a higher truth than the Church created by God proves this grave error. For if one is a Christian, and especially a Catholic, he must not deny the truth of a Church protected by Christ. For if they do not believe what Christ stated in about his Church in Mt 16:17-18, Mt 18:17, or John 16-18 then they are essentially calling Christ a liar as defined by 1 John 5:10 “Anyone who does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because he has not believed the testimony God has given about his Son.”

I’m certain that the magazine purchased a direct mail list. I found a Catholic one once. Personally, I don’t mind Catholic mail.

How To Get Off A Mailing List

dmaconsumers.org/cgi/offmailinglist#moreinformation

“After several months you will begin to receive less advertising mail from national marketers such as credit cards, sweepstakes and magazine subscription offers, and catalogs. Local businesses and organizations usually do not use this program. You will continue to receive mail from companies with which you already do business.”

I had someone try to foist these publications off on me. I tried to read a little of them, but they were so venomous, I just couldn’t do it. I had to throw them out. I know several people who think this way and belong to the SSPX. I think it is very sad, and I pray for them all the time.
EWTN is aware of this book. They have some copies floating around, according to Fr. Mitch Pacwa on Open Line today. A couple of people called in about it. You can be sure they are aware of this attack and will respond appropriately, (which may very well be to ignore it). God Bless EWTN!! EWTN radio and television have been extremely instumental in my reversion to the Faith! It is difficult to see people attack them.
I watch EWTN and frequent their website almost everyday. I believe they are helping me understand my faith more intensely. But, I feel a little silly asking this but what is SSPX? I read the blurb on this and what is going on here is there a schism within the conservative Catholics?

Never mind, I figured it out. Thanks to Michele Arnold 👍

Me four! We have Sirius in both cars and at home now - for EWTN Radio. We have DishTV for EWTN TV - we are an EWTN family!

I wouldn’t mind seeing EWTN sue the pants off the author. What is wrong with these people? The schism between the church and the SSPX will never heal over because these people just won’t obey. They are as bad as some of these protestants. The Church is the Church, then they say they don’t like it, we won’t do what you say, the next thing you know we got 33,000+ protestant denominations and a bunch of “catholic” wanna be’s.

I’m # 6 on that list. I cannot get enough of EWTN! I sometimes worry that I am consumed with my faith. Between this forum and EWTN I don’t have much time for anything else. Sometimes I need to take a break.

Ferrara is a hard core Traditionalist. Many people like him have little or no charity towards others who do not worship exactly as he does.

With more donations and a bigger budget, I am sure EWTN could produce better-looking content, but that isn’t the point of their existence. They do a fine job.

The one thing I would like to see from them is more coverage and more content of the Eastern Catholic Churches. They do not cover them enough.

Well, guess what??
Though I didn’t even ORDER a copy,
in yesterday’s mail I received a copy of the BOOK called, EWTN: A Network Gone Wrong by Ferrara. And of course, there was a letter begging for a substantial donation for the book.

Since I never asked them to send me the book in the first place, I am not going to return it, and I am certainly not going to send a donation for it. It came from Nicolas Gruner’s organization.

So am I to understand then that just like one who

Complains about the President is labeled unpatriotic…he who now complains about certain aspects of EWTN is an anti catholic, church denier and christ rejector?

If that is the majority opinion I am proud to be in the minority.
