Just curious how long EWTN is broadcast in your area. It is only on till midnight here and not on till evening on Sun. All the times it is not on at night it is info-mercials and on Sun, get this, it is protestant preachings!

I have it 24/7…I live in Baton Rouge, LA and I use Dish Network. The only channels my TV is ever tuned to is EWTN, Fox News, The History Channel…and a few miscellaneous channels here and there.

I have Direct T.V. and it is on 24 hrs a day:) . Years ago, when I first started watching EWTN, I had Cable and EWTN was only shown during the day:crying: , then we finally got it all day:clapping: . That was after many, many phone calls:amen: .

EWTN is on until 9:00PM daily when it is replaced by the INSP netwok.

EWTN is on from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Monday-Friday (INSP is on the other hours). It’s not on at all on Saturday, INSP and infomercials are on all day until 12:01 a.m. Sunday, then EWTN is on all day Sunday until 12:01 a.m. Monday. Then it’s infomercials until INSP starts up on Monday morning.

Weird schedule.

Oh, yippee, I just made Senior Member with that last post!

:bounce:

We have EWTN on the air midnight - 9:00 PM Monday through Friday, midnight - 7:00 PM on Saturday, and midnight - 12 noon on Sunday. The other hours, the Inspiration Network gets the channel.

So EWTN gets the bulk of the schedule, but I can never watch it during primetime. 😦

At least this is better than the town I used to live in – there, the cable company refused to add EWTN. Their excuse was, if they added EWTN, then they’d have to add all kinds of other religious channels, too. Note: that didn’t stop them from adding an Evangelical network. Hypocrites.

I’m in Palm Beach County, FL and we get it 24/7 .

Who would have thunk?

It’s on the air here 24/7 (locally). We have Dish Network but with our package we don’t get EWTN (through our sat.). I rarely watch it though…

I am in the northern Denver metro area.

EWTN is broadcast 24 hours a day on UHF Channel 19 in the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area in Minnesota.

If you are using cable, you will need to switch it off using your remote. You also might need a rabbit ears antenna.

The “best shows” seem to be on at 2-3am. Fr. John Corapi, for example. I really like the taped lectures on Angels, Suffering ( Fr. Robert Spitzer), the sick, anything with Fr. Thomas Dubay, and a whole host of other priest - lecturers. During the day I don’t have time to watch.

Currently, ETWN is part of local access on cable. We just got a notice that it is going to digital cable channel so it will be 7/24 on cable only.

That is my whole point! I love the shows on during the night hours. I set up my DVR to record them and when I go to play then it is infomercials or protestant preachers

I’ve been getting EWTN even before it was a 24-hour network, when it was just on in the evening. It’s great that the network is celebrating its 25th anniversary. God is good!!!

For me it’s 24/7/365 and I don’t even have cable or satallite tv.

On the Internet I can watch ETWN and listen to EWTN Radio. Just go here .
Only one drawback, whenever the Internet connect go, so go my EWTN…it doesn’t happen all that often, but I still like the results.

👍 EWTN has always been in the line up, well, at least since 94 when I discovered it. LOL

It is the only channel ever on, save the History Channel when the Spanish speaking program comes on between 6-6:30 AM.

EWTN is “AWESOME!” God certainly is good!

God Bless,
Theresa

EWTN was once on my cable system 24/7. That changed about 10 years ago. First, their hours were drastically cut back and had to share minimal time with a porn station. That ended and now EWTN shares time with a brokered time channel, on overnights, mornings till 10:30, and for a couple of hours evenings. I almost wonder if they have to actually buy the time themselves. Despite the constant expansion of the cable system channel coverage, EWTN’s times just stay the same. They don’t even give extra hours coverage for major Catholic events like World Youth Day or the pope’s death. Really, it is pretty insulting that in the 2nd largest Archdiocese in the country, one of the major cable systems can’t find a way to air the Catholic station 24/7.

EWTN is broadcast in Houston, TX 24/7.

The only reason we subscribe to satellite service is to get EWTN, most other channels are ignored in our house!😃
