EWTN Rosary question

I listen to the Rosary on EWTN through a free radio affiliate in my town.

I noticed that in the last week or so they’ve started to use a different version of the Rosary, at least at the time when I listen (9:30 P.M. Eastern).

Just wondering, if that’s their policy to rotate them and change versions of the Rosary every so often. When I started listening (when EWTN first came to my town) I think it was Mother Angelica’s own version; then they changed it to the version with Fr. Scallon and music by Dana.

I don’t know about their policy but the Holy Rosary with Fr. Kevin Scallan and Dana is currently on EWTN’s program schedule for 9:30 p.m. ET M-F. The Holy Rosary, with Mother Angelica and the Nuns of Our Lady of the Angels Monastery is on at 5:30 a.m. ET M-F.

If you prefer praying the rosary along with Mother Angelica and the Nuns, it is available in EWTN’s audio library anytime. (www.ewtn.com/vondemand/audio/seriessearchprog.asp?seriesID=6707&T1=rosary)

For the last week or so EWTN has been running another version (not Mother Angelica and not Fr. Scallon/Dana); maybe they just haven’t updated their TV and radio listings.

If and when I reach the point where money is not an issue, I’ll purchase the audios of both versions.

I don’t understand. What do you mean by a different version of the Rosary?
The Rosary has the Joyful, Luminous, Sorrowful and Glorious Mysteries. What other version can there be?

A different person saying the Rosary, different music, different meditations, slight differences in wording in the prayers.

I was wondering about Fr. Groeschel’s name; I wasn’t sure how it was spelled.

I’m really fortunate to have EWTN and the Rosary for free right in my town; I only wish I could be home more often to listen to it.
