Hey all, I didn’t see a thread about this here, so I thought I’d make one. Today I watched a movie that aired on EWTN recently (which I DVR’d), and its called “Armenia’s Christians”. I read about it here first: ncregister.com/daily-news/looking-at-armenias-fascinating-christian-past-and-present/
And I was delighted to learn that I hadn’t missed a re-showing, so I DVR’d it, and watched it today. Anyways, I hope they still have it on occasionally over the next few weeks, so maybe some of you guys can get to watch it.
I’m just a normal Latin-Rite Catholic, but this certainly gave me a greater appreciation for Christianity in Armenia, and in that region as a whole. I had a vague idea before, but wow, after I did a little research myself after the video, I had no idea just how many communities in the Middle East the Armenian Churches support. Both Armenian Orthodox and Armenian Catholic. The Armenian Catholic Church is actually headquartered in Lebanon, due to the Armenian diaspora.
