Exactly how is NFP (Natural Family Planning) NOT just another form of birth control?

I am sickened by your claims about what I believe. I am more in line with mainstream Catholicism than you are for sure. I do not have any argument about what you believe, but you and others want us to leave you alone as some tiny little church of “true” Catholics. You are the minority, not us. I find your claim that I don’t know Catholic teaching quite insulting. but then I’m rather used to that kind of thing here. I know Catholic teaching exceedingly well, and your attempt to be insulting is noted. Nice charitible post.

If morals are based on majority rule then slavery and human sacrifice were perfectly moral at one time. (Hum, I guess God made a mistake destroying Sodom.) I know there are many smarter people then me. If someone like I don’t know, all the popes ever, the apostles, the doctors of the Church, all of Christan humanity until 1930 and pretty much every teaching authority of the Church tells me something is immoral, I’m going to believe what they say over Margret Sanger, Planned Parenthood, the CDC, the UN, and “Sister Mary Feminist.” What the majority (or the minority for that matter) thinks has no bearing on what is or is not moral. When something goes against its natural, God intended, purpose that makes it immoral, it doesn’t matter if no one in the world believes it. I do not have conclude contraception is necessary, in fact, I conclude contraception has done NOTHING but hurt society, especially women, and weaken over all morals and your posts are a perfect example.
More over you commit the fallacies of Appeal to Belief and Appeal to Common Practice.

No there is not, life begins at conception, not implantation. When the new life is not allowed to implant it is a early term abortion. Some doctors have taken it on themselves to redefine when life begins, I linked several articles with MANY Doctors who agree it is an abortifacient.
I am not so concerned what doctors believe. I’ll listen to pharmacists who have more knowledge of drugs than do doctors. The point I was making was that the pill is not classified as an abortifacient. We may say life begins at conception all we want. I’m not arguing against that at all. I’m saying the pill is not classified as an abortifacient and to say otherwise is an incorrect statement, at least for now.

What the drug or device is classified as was never brought up. The statement was it works as an abortifacient by directly effecting implantation, which is a true statement. Even the packaging says as much.

Also did you not no the pill is a abortificant? It causes you to abort the fetus
This was the statement. I do not see where it says “works as.”

I was pointing out that the above statement was not correct.

The statement is true, that is how it works. If it is actually classified as one is irrelevant.

An abortifacient aborts. The pill reduces the likelihood of implantation. Reducing the likelihood and aborting are two different things. Alcohol, pain meds and others may “reduce the likelihood” as well.

Moved to Purg for further review. Oh, SM… What to do about her? It’s the age old question. Sigh.
