This may sound dumb, but I’m having trouble thinking about this. So I took off a day from work so I could go to a Holy Day of Obligation Mass. When my boss asked why, I said that there was an “important church event” that I had to go to. I didn’t say that I was going to Mass because my boss is non-Christian so I didn’t think that the boss would understand what a Mass is. Is this an example of sin against faith, or being ashamed of my faith? I only said it the way I did since I figured she didn’t know what a Mass is. Thanks for any help.
