This is an excellent video in which Dino Marcantonio gives a near flawless apologetic for Catholic thinking on art, particularly sacred art, especially architecture, from the Catholic artist’s own perspective. He skillfully disarms modern artistic problems with the utmost tact, the whole time offering for consideration a truly traditional, truly Catholic alternative. It is refreshing to see him understand that true beauty does stand on a plane all its own, without ideological and political baggage. “Beauty results when a thing is a perfect example of its nature.”

I figure this belongs here in Traditional Catholicism because I don’t think it particularly fits in Liturgy & Sacraments, but if the mod. would like to move it, by all means. My judgement for including it here is that the subject matter of the video is very much rooted in Catholic philosophy and history, while focusing on art.
