There are some offenses that carry the penalty of automatic excommunication, but apostasy is not one of them. So, the answer to this question is “no.”
I just told the priest that I broke away from the Church. Was this sufficient,or was i supposed to go into further detail?
This is really bothering me,because if my confession was not good enough I may still be in a state of mortal sin.
You’ve already been absolved by the priest. Unless you intentionally held anything back, you have been forgiven all your past sins.
If its still bothering you, Confession is not the answer but Spiritual Direction. Ask and see if the priest may give this to you. Some priests are better than others in providing Spiritual Direction. Sometimes its not even a priest, could be a religious such as a Brother or a Sister or even a lay person involved with a ministry. Find one for some Spiritual Guidance.
