I would appreciate some prayers for my pregnancy. I am 15 weeks along. I have lost a little weight rather than gained any, and the all-day “morning” sickness and vomiting 2-3 times a day is making me exhausted. I try to eat healthy, but can hardly hold anything down. I can’t even do the bare minimum of housework and cooking because I just don’t have enough energy for it, and I spend a lot of time sitting and lying down (though, on the plus side, I’ve been reading more Catholic books and praying more often). My doctor gave me a prescription that hasn’t helped, and he’s not too concerned at this point, but I feel like my body’s put me on involuntary bed rest! Not great when we have 5 children at home (the youngest three are age 5 and under). 😦

My husband does his best to help, but he usually works 10 hours a day, and doesn’t have much energy or time, either. I’m depending a lot on my teenage daughter and she doesn’t complain (God bless her!), but I’m hoping and praying that my nausea and exhaustion will subside soon, so that I can give her a break.

Thank you for any prayers you can offer.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and in the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Praying to Our Lady of Quadalupe for you & your baby. Praying for your husband also.

Praying for you and your family. My 18 year old daughter is holding down the fort at home while I and her dad are in Houston because of his medical situation. Its not easy when the kids have to grow up so quickly.

Hail Mary, full of grace the Lord is with Thee
Blessed art thou amongst women
and blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus
Holy Mary, Mother of God
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

From a mom who has been there a few times…
Try to remember this is all temporary. And thank your daughter! My oldest three are boys but they help tremendously as well. It seems to bother us as parents more than it does them though. Truthfully it does a teen good to have responsibility. It keeps them out of trouble and teaches them life skills. I’ll be praying to St. Gerard for you.

As it was in the beginning is now ever shall be world without end
Amen.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

Eternal God , in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhastible ,
look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us ,
that in difficult moments we might not despair
nor become despondent , but with great confidence ,
submit ourselves to Your Holy Will ,
which is love and mercy itself . Amen

Holy Mother, please intercede for us.
Hold the sorrowful, strengthen the fearful,
mother the abused, neglected or forgotten,
give aid to all needing help or healing,
assist those who are sick, in pain or suffering,
be with those needing peace, console the lonely,
comfort the lost or hopeless, guard the unborn,
pray for those who are dying or who have died,
soften those with hardened hearts,
enlighten those who do not yet see truth,
help us be brave enough to let our hurt and anger go,
show us the way to do the right thing,
protect those who are in danger,
and guide us from every evil.
May all who keep your sacred commemoration
experience the might of your assistance.
Amen :gopray: **

Precious Lord I pray for Amy and her nausea to subside and energy to increase so she care for her family. Bless her husband and daughter who are helping and give them all Your strength to persevere. Give peace to all and bless the development of this new child You have created. In Your Holy and precious Name, Amen.

Heavenly Father, please encircle Amy & her new baby in your loving care. Ease her illness & bless her with healing. Encircle her husband and all of their children with your love, comfort & peace. You are the greatest physician of all. Amen.

Five kids, three under five? Bless your heart! :hug1:
As for ‘morning’ sickness all day, I’ve been there with three of my kids. Praying that God either lightens your burdens or makes this phase pass quickly!

The best prayer for morning sickness: the Magnificat:

My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
my spirit rejoices in God my Savior
for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant.
From this day all generations will call me blessed:
the Almighty has done great things for me,
and holy is his Name.

He has mercy on those who fear him
in every generation.
He has shown the strength of his arm,
he has scattered the proud in their conceit.

He has cast down the mighty from their thrones,
and has lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things,
and the rich he has sent away empty.

He has come to the help of his servant Israel
for he remembered his promise of mercy,
the promise he made to our fathers,
to Abraham and his children forever.
Amen.

(Lk 1:46-55)
