Can other religions perform exorcisms? I saw some for example muslim exorcists.

here for example.

Are those things fake or is the jinn in reality a demon? But in the second case the problem would be, how could he rebuke him if he isnt an exorcist and not even a Christian?

There is a tradition of exorcism within traditional Islam, which can be either exorcising a Jinn of some kind or curing a person of the Satanic effects of witchcraft. A few hadith are recorded that refer to exorcism and there are particular prayers and formula recommended for exorcism. The sheikh is exorcising in the name of God. We worship the same God, so why not?

I encourage skepticism when evaluating instances of exorcism in any religion. Most cases of “possession” are explainable mental health issues rather than legitimate spiritual interference. That’s not to say that exorcism can’t be valid relief for people with mental illnesses sometimes as long as there’s some sort of medical oversight, culturally appropriate care is important. And, personally, I think possession is possible, but rare.
After listening to this and looking a the rest of the stuff on this channel, though, I would take this with about ten pounds of rock salt but only God knows.

Lots of religions have their exorcists!

I was wondering about this too. But, God, like a spring, grants His loving grace on all people for good; why then would He not let others have any possibility to exorcise a demon?
He causes His rain to fall on the just and the unjust, after all, to quote Jesus, our Lord.

One of the things about Catholic exorcism (I am unsure about others’) is that a psychological evaluation and exhausting just about any other natural causes are done prior to exorcism. We’re a really skeptical Church!

Yes I know but for example in that video “the jinn“, talked like if Islam is true and it resited but then said he is not a muslim and so on. But like you said in the other comment we as Catholics have to confirm first that there is no mental illness and thats really good.

In Islam, the devil is a Jinn. They don’t believe in demons per se, as fallen angels. They believe that there are no “fallen” angels, that all angels follow God.

I saw the video and if you listen around 6:25 the guy says the “jinn” is going to die and stand befor Allah and be judged. Not true at all, the lady will die but the “jinn” will move onto someone else. False

Jinn is sort of an umbrella category that includes “unseen” beings, aside from God, so angels, Satan, and the People of the Fire. Human souls are often classified as variants of jinn because they are hidden within our mortal bodies. The People of the Fire in Islam are a race created from smokeless fire before man was created from the dust. They are hidden from our awareness and there are some differences, but they are considered to have mortal souls in need of God’s mercy just like us, and we believe that there are Muslims and non-Muslims among them as with humans. The Prophet (peace be upon him) was sent to preach the message to the People of the Fire as well as us. Jinn who have chosen to follow Satan are the equivalent of demons, basically.

So, when the sheikh is asking whether the jinn is a Muslim, that’s what he’s getting at. In many Islamic cultures, it’s believed that witchcraft drives People of the Fire mad and causes them to spiritually possess people or that a person who practices witchcraft can entrap them and send them to torment someone. Satanic Jinn may also choose to consort with magicians or simply possess people of their own desire to do so.
So, the sheikh is reminding the jinn that knows it will stand before Allah at the last day and will have to answer truthfully for its deeds and so the jinn had better go without hurting the girl for the sake of its own soul.

I have to disagree, there is only God angles, demons and man. Demons have already been judged when Satan decieved 1/3rd of the angels, again when she passes she will be answerable and those demons wont be there, in fact they will go “who me”.

Most religions teach about the existence of spiritual entities, believe these entities can possess humans, and a lot of them have rituals for freeing the afflicted person from possession.

But the problem is this–other religions don’t define God and angels in the same way Catholics do.

Also, some cultures attribute all disease to spirit activity, and will prescribe prayers and rituals as well as medications to treat disease.

So, what we would consider praying, might be for them, casting out malign spirits.

You really need to talk to the person from that religion to understand what they mean by “spirit” or “exorcism”.
