Expectations of EWTN Mass this coming Friday morning?

Too bad I can’t just go video it all for you guys…:rolleyes:

Can’t even take pictures in the Shrine.
 
Just a note for those who dont have EWTN TV, you can go to EWTN.com and watch it off of their web page.

Ha…I’ve never been to EWTN…yet…

But I do visit the Shrine a lot…I love that place, it’s awesome! Actually went yesterday morning and prayed the Rosary with the nuns. Mother did a great job there!
 
I was out there today. I’ve got a prostate biopsy tomorrow under general anesthesia, and I wanted to be freshly confessed. The priests were setting up (yes, a big crucifix on the altar).

On the way out we met the priest who will be presiding. I expressed our regret that we would not be able to attend and explained why, and we got his blessing. Don’t know his name, but he is Swiss-German–his Latin is with a German accent 😃

I believe that the readings in the TLM are NOT allowed to be given in English during the Mass. The directive in the MP means that the priest may use the ICEL current English translation when reading the Epistle and Gospel during the sermon. It would seem absolutely absurd, wierd and “un-traditional”, as far as the TLM goes, to have the sub-deacon sing in English the Epistle, or the Deacon sing in English the Gospel…that would hurt my ears indeed!

Expect what the FSSP does people- as far as the rubrics and everything. You will not hear a translator doing the English translation over the Latin.

Dave responded to what I replied about earlier- yes- crucifix and candles on the altar- all done right.

Now all that needs to happen is for Mother Angelica to be miraculously healed from the ravages of her stroke during the Mass and all heck will really break out worldwide!
