This is a very serious issue - you really must do something and it appears that a letter to both the Archbishop (I presume you are in the Mobile Archdiocese from your profile - excuse me if I am wrong) and the CDWDS is in order. Be sure and send it Certified Mail to both parties. (I would also include the Nuncio - this has to get traction fast!) Include, as has been stated, all prior correspondence. Include the date and Mass if there were multiple Masses. Be very factual. I would also get a list of names of people from your parish who would corroborate under oath what you have said - it may come to a Church trial.

The seal of confession is absolute. I assume you have not raised this issue before with your Archbishop. If you have raised it in writing already, the AB could face some real problems, too. This cannot be allowed to go on.

Good luck, have courage and God bless you.
Actually, the Nuncio is not the point of contact here since this is not within his purview. The proper parties in this case are the Archbishop and the CDWDS. The Nuncio generally remands the letters back to the Archbishop.

Regarding the CDWDS, I would send it next-inernational express with a return, receipt requested. Include copies of correspondence sent to the Archbishop. You do need to give the Archbishop time to respond to you.

Were the CDWDS a commercial establishment, they would get an A+ in the JD Power and Associates custmer service rating. The staff is professional, helpful and open. Even though it took two letters, several phone calls and a personal meeting with the Secretary to the CDWDS himself, the end result, two years later, was most positive in my dad’s case.

.
Um…perhaps that is a good experience for the CDWDS, but for a business that certainly wouldn’t merit an A+ or anything close in ***any ***type of customer service rating. Anything more than one letter or one phone call is not “A” grade service.

But in any case, a two year wait is probably not out of line. Business have to respond immediately, otherwise they can lose a customer; the CDWDS has a monopoly. 😉

And, it was a very sensitive issue, and an extremely complicated one, at that. The wheels of Rome may grind slowly, but, they grind finely.

He has done both. In my case, he revealed my name and problem after Holy Communion. 😦
This is beyond the CDWDS, this goes, to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF). They are the ones who handle issues with the Seal of Confession. I recommend having signed statements from witnesses. Again, leave emotion out of it. I am sure that Cardinal Levada would wish to act quickly for this issue.

The Apostolic Penitentiary is the one that deals with issues of Confession.

=daughterofgrace;6667297]He has revealed people’s names in their sins. Unfortunately, he revealed my name and problem. Thanks for the advice, PJM. You sound like a different priest I’ve been going to. God bless.
Thank you!

Please take action against his priest to prevent further abuses ASAP

Your in my prayers,
Pat
