can Catholics defend that though you are saved by grace, we are judged in the end for our actions.is it because of are works coming from our faith in Jesus?

Everything comes from God but our RESPONSE does matter. God loves us first but he also requires us to love him back.

God gave us free will, and it is up to us to choose to do right. Bad deeds are still bad deeds, no matter what.
God saw that it was very hard for us to be good, so he sent Christ, Who redeemed us, and made it possible for us to get to heaven if we’re good.

but does original sin mean we cannot accomplish the good deeds regardless?

We can still do good, even though we were born with original sin on our souls, because by baptism, the original sin is wiped away.

Don’t know if that answered your question…

so God gives us love? using that love (grace) to do good works. and thus without love we are nothing. does that make sense for James 2? Love is from Faith as that faith is knowing what we have heard and rejoicing in it?

then want is man. being or more close to a shell with limbs?
