This verse REALLY confuses me. Firstly, as somebody who is generally new to the Christian faith, one of the things that drew me in was Jesus’ sacrifice. How God himself died so we won’t have to repent for our sins in Hell, but how does this work in that regard? How is there a Sin that you can NEVER be forgiven for commiting. Secondly; what does “Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit” even mean? I assume it would mean claiming how it doesn’t exist or how it is evil, but why does the Holy Spirit get this special treatment? Why isn’t it equally as terrible to blasphemize Christ or the Father?
