Yes I would! I’ve never heard of anyone doing this. Do you go to prayer and refection or have a group prayer before you begin?

Yes, we do have group prayer and individual prayer. We read the Scripture account of the ikon we are about to work on (if there is one) and also do the research into the various line drawings and the meanings of the figures in each line drawing.

We also use a lot of chant music on the CD player as we’re working…
