How deep of questions do you want to ask yourself? What is the purpose of life? What is the purpose of Marriage? What is the purpose for postponing marriage? What is the purpose of dating?
TLM08:
Haha yes I know its fun. God created it as the most intense expression of love and I think about our wedding night every day and how wonderful and amazing it is going to be for both of us

Well, don’t put too much of a burden of expectation on that one night. It will hopefully be the first of a long marriage, to improve as time goes on. . .However, I just wanted to mention that one good reason to wait is so that the first night is not just another night, like many preceeding. You want it to be special.

If you are waiting to have sex (which is a good thing) it does not sound like you are doing it too virtuously. It seems by your post that you are already having thoughts of lust about this girl in your having thoughts of intense desire around her. You may have purity in mind now by your waiting but it does not seem so in the way you are talking about it. Make sure you are 100% about your purity and chastity. No offense, but someone who was would not be talking about their girlfriend in that way on the forums. Sounds to me like you need to be looking more into what God’s plan is for the conjugal act - then as you find out more God’s plan for husband and wife in that context it should make this time of waiting for you till you get married more valuable than what you consider it now. This is kind of a personal question but here goes.
I’m 17 years old and have never had sex, nor do I plan to until I am married. I have been dating my future wife (I hope) for over 16 months and and 99.9% positive that she is the girl for me.
There are sometimes when I get so frustrated with waiting another 5 years (until we’re both done with college) that I just want to rip her clothes off and give everything to her right there and then. Has anyone else ever felt that way? That it just gets so darn hard sometimes…
I’m also wondering if people who wait until they are married have better and more fulfilling sex lives than the people who don’t wait. I just feel like sometimes I’m missing out on all the ‘fun’ and wonder whether or not it is worth it to wait until I am married… Is sex more fun if you wait?
Again, I’m sorry if I offend anyone. I wanted to ask and so I asked on Yahoo! Answers and, well you can imagine the stuff people said…
Can someone help me out please? Thanks!
I don’t understand this quote. First off, the facts have changed. I thought you had decided marriage was NOT an option in the forseeable future? Now it’s 5 months off? And I REALLY don’t understand your expectation of pain! I got married at 29 and have no idea what you are talking about. When your body physically needs to take care of business, it will do so while you sleep. Worry not.EXPLICIT WARNING:
I haven’t masturbated in over 8 months, and as a result ejaculation will be a very very painful process in 5 months time when I get married. I plan on seeing a doctor about a week before my wedding to get some advice on how to lessen the pain. As for my future wife, well I think a really really long massage might lessen the pain for her…
Win.Welcome to the human race.
I got pregnant in our wedding night, so babies are a consequence definitely, and conception can happen from one time. :yeah_me:Sex has consequences. Babies are just one of them. I really doubt you are mature enough yet to deal with these consequences.
Wow thats amazingI got pregnant in our wedding night, so babies are a consequence definitely, and conception can happen from one time. :yeah_me:
I’m not saying that a person will be miserable if he does the will of God. I’m simply pointing out that doing the will of God will, invariably, involve doing things that, on the surface, may make us think that we are going to be miserable. Abraham ulitmately didn’t become miserable for binding, and nearly sacrificing, his son in obedience to God’s will, but I doubt that he relished the idea of sacrificing his son, or found that particular request easy to fulfill. From someone who can honestly say I’ve experienced a great many trials in my marriage due to my husband’s protracted illness, I couldn’t disagree more. It is not about the will of God and being miserable… It is about learning to see the beauty of the will of God in the face of what appears to be disaster and being grateful for the opportunity to really learn what love is all about. God takes my breath away…
Yes, because you will know you 2 aren’t using each other and never have.I’m also wondering if people who wait until they are married have better and more fulfilling sex lives than the people who don’t wait.
I can honestly say yes it is. The first couple times are unique. If you throw those away before marriage you’ll really regret it.I just feel like sometimes I’m missing out on all the ‘fun’ and wonder whether or not it is worth it to wait until I am married… Is sex more fun if you wait?
I think it probably won’t.and as a result it will be a very very painful process in 5 months time when I get married.
