Shlama Fred,
It’s my understanding that the several ‘Hebrew Matthew’s’ all date from the Middle Ages, and of course, were not authentic copies of Matthew’s Gospel rendered into Hebrew.
You can research this more here on the net.
I would suggest a Google search looking under ‘Shem Tov Matthew, in Hebrew’.
Second question. Yes, we believe that the P’shitta NT texts represent ‘the Original Autographs’. As the scholars say.
I hope that this answers your question Fred, if not, ask again, and if I can, I’ll answer you.

I’m curious - do folks that believe Matthew was written in Aramaic as an exception to Greek primacy believe that the Peshitta represents a text close to the original?
