I know there are alot of smart people here so I’m confident I’ll get a good answer.

Like many who grew up in the late 60’s or 70’s in “modern” churches, I never really seen an Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament until some started bringing it back a few years ago in my area. Now, I see more of it.
I often wonder tho…
If a priest can touch the host during consecration, why the long shall (sorry don’t know the name) that he wraps around it to move it around or make the sign of the cross. Why not bare hands?
