Iām talking about helping people who have no resources, not bratty kids with parents who wonāt play with them.I have done TONS of volunteering over the years so I know what I am talking about when I say it drains me. I have taken so many neighbourhood kids to the park and on outings (I donāt have kids this was 100% out of the goodness of my heart). I genuinely believe that if one is running on empty, volunteering does NOT always help
Hmm well maybe you are a low energy person overall? Have you been given a clean bill of health by your doctor? Maybe you are depressed?I am 45. I canāt really say I have slowed down a lot because in my 20s compared to my peers I had less energy. They could stay out until midnight and be on time to work the next day, I couldnāt
Do you have children? I donāt so that is one thing that is not taking up my time
Well, first off, one of the kids was bratty but that is because her parents could not give her the love she needed and I think she loved having an adult treat her with respect.Iām talking about helping people who have no resources, not bratty kids with parents who wonāt play with them.
Big difference.
it could also be a general sense of malaise due to the fact that youāre kind of between jobs, and seeking a better job.Well, first off, one of the kids was bratty but that is because her parents could not give her the love she needed and I think she loved having an adult treat her with respect.
And I also did other volunteer work with seniors and not for profit organizations.
Awww that is so sweet. I read your reply at work and had to control myself from gigglingThis isnāt the āangieā we know and love.![]()
