Extreme depression, suicidal thoughts

Hope Philomena, I am so sorry to hear that you are going through such severe depression. I know what it feels like because I have been the same way myself in the past and I have been hospitalized for it as well. Please know that I am praying for you. I know how much of a struggle it can be to feel like that.

Also, please don’t hesitate to go to the ER if it gets too bad. There are also suicide hotlines you can call for help. Please tell your doctor that your medicine isn’t working if you think it isn’t. I know from experience that a change in medicine can make a huge difference.

You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from

Most holy apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular (Hope Philomena), and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity.
