I have only read around 10 pages of true devotion to Mary . And i am in absolute awe of the book its feels as if the Holy spirit wrote it himself.
Im sure this will be esential to my life and a big thanks to everyone who recomended it.

Skallel a question about Rome or anyone else who could helf as im finding it hard to find an answer to this one.

Me and my family have organised our holiday around the feast day of Saint Peter and Paul we will be in Rome before and after June the 29th.
I was wondering what actually goes on in Rome on this day especially as this will be so special as the Pauline year comes to an end.
I was wanting to know if there was any way of haveing the Privilage of going to the Papal mass of the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul in the Vatican?

Just to note that we are all arks of the new covenant. Somewhere in the Old Testament it says that the law of the Lord is written on stone, but then it will be written on our hearts. We are all carried to call the law of the Lord in our hearts. The main way that we become the new carriers of the covenant is through receiving Communion which is the Cup of the New Covenant instituted by Christ at the Last Supper. Mary was also ark of the covenant as she carried the body of Christ in her womb.
Yes, and actually that is what i pray to her for, to help me and teach me how to be a living tabernacle as you first recieve and as i am about to recieve.

wow that’s really great to hear! 😃
I’ve been reading True Devotion for a while now and I feel the same way… there’s definitely something ‘inspired’ about this book. And every time I read it, I get something new out of it.

God bless!! 🙂

Father Phil Bloom, when introducing a speaker to his parish gave this
wonderful reflection on the place of Mary in the Church.

I would like to recommend a new book. Written by Catholic lay evangelist,
Mark Shea, it is titled “Mary, Mother of the Son.” Don’t let the title
mislead you. It is much more than a devotional book on the Blessed Virgin
Mary. Mark has a unique ability to situate devotion to Mary in the context
of the entire Christian life. His book is like opening a side door called
“Mary” and finding oneself in an enormous banquet hall. The tables are set
with an astonishing variety of food. As you look around you see familiar
faces, but also others you have heard about, but do not know well. A
gracious lady takes your hand and begins to show you around. Above all she
wants you to know her Son, his Father and the One who overshadowed her.

Bottom line: Mary can help us realize the purpose of our existence: to enter
an eternal relationship with God - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Another reflection on Mary and her relationship to Jesus.

Like the moon which shines and lights up the sky at night, Mary’s light does not emanate from within herself, but rather finds its origin in the sun [son] which she reflects. The sun is like the light of God and it truly gives life to everything, including the moon which would be as nothing without the light of the sun to reflect.

Mary said in Luke 1:46 that her soul MAGNIFIES the Lord. Her soul is still very much alive, and is still magnifying the Lord. Praising the greatest creation of an artist is also praising the artist, and Mary is certainly God’s greatest creation, ever, of all time. Revelation 12:17 says that we are her children if we obey the Commandments and bear testimony to Jesus.

So no, there is nothing wrong with loving and praising Mary. On the contrary, she gets you to Jesus faster and better than you would on your own, since she and Jesus were one flesh, she was the living tabernacle of the Lord, the NT Ark of the Covenant. And, she already knows the way - You and I are still struggling to find it!

Jesus came to us through Mary; you can certainly return the favor by going to Jesus through Mary.
