An eye of Fatima horseshoe like ornament/charm has been put right behind me at work. I do not know exactly what it means but I can’t ask it to be taken down. I’m hoping it is not related to anything occult and just a good luck charm of another religion. Does anyone have information about it?
 
It is a good luck charm in Middle Eastern and Islamic cultures. Just ignore it. It’s a superstition.

Thank you, did not know if to say a special prayer as one never knows the story behind certain charms and it is right behind my head.
 
No problem. Say a prayer if you like. But no undue fear, it’s a good luck charm, like the horseshoe charms in other cultures.

If it’s what I think it is, it’s something you see all over Turkey. Supposed to keep the ‘evil spirits’ away, I was told.
