A month or so ago, I clicked on one of those ads that come up to the side of my facebook news feed that drew my curiosity concerning some celebrities and immediately my computer got a Trojan virus that I had to pay extra to an anti-virus provider to remove from my computer. So I know that it is possible that some people do suspicious activity to get into your computer. They may even target some people like Brazilian Catholics for whatever reason. The pages are back up now it says, so I’d rather believe that Facebook was trying to protect their members pages rather than being the perpetrator.
That sounds a lot more likely and reasonable of an explanation to me than the fact that Facebook is trying to implement a nefarious anti-Catholic plot.I’m reluctant to believe that anything dubious was being done by facebook. All the pages could have be attacked by trolls that were posting offensive things and if enough people complained in a short time, the pages would be blocked until a moderator had the time to review what was written, take action, and restore access.
I have a lot of friends in that community, and it’s actually a pretty common complaint that their pages get mistakenly blocked.Intentional or not, somehow I doubt that a bunch of LGBT pages would ever have gotten mistakenly blocked.
Check out this thread. That sounds a lot more likely and reasonable of an explanation to me than the fact that Facebook is trying to implement a nefarious anti-Catholic plot.
If it was truly deliberate on their part, I can’t imagine why they would have restored the pages so quickly. Surely they would have been prepared with an explanation justifying the blocks if it was something that had been thought through and carried out intentionally.
Appreciate the feedback. :tiphat:I have a lot of friends in that community, and it’s actually a pretty common complaint that their pages get mistakenly blocked.
