I made a facebook account awhile ago under a fake name, because i wanted to see people’s photos and stuff but didn’t want my own because i’m a private person and was not really into it. Well, I figured this was wrong so I ended up deactivating the account and I even checked under “other” that I was deactivating it because it was a fake name. But, just today I went on activate it real quick because I wanted to see some photos of someone I knew, and that was it. I deactivated couple minutes later. Is that a mortal sin?
 
In my experience, FB is a habit.
I formed an account last year right after my sister died so that I could put up an album of photos of us growing up. Four months later, I was checking FB 3 times a day, posting, etc.
Fortunately, I recognized that I was having a “problem”; mainly because a woman I knew posted on my page saying, “What did we ever do before FB?” That opened my eyes.
I deactivated the account and never went back. It’s been a year.
For the 1st 2 months after I deactivated, I too thought about reactivateing just to check out new photos, and stuff.
Thank goodness I resisted.
FB is now a thing of my past and I’m glad. The time I spent there is far better spent in other pursuits.

I love face book. Nothing wrong with using a fake name to protect yourself either. I dont, but thats just me. It helps me multi task. I can be on here, and on there at the same time. I gotta lot of time to kill. I have met some very nice people on there, and I made a friend I can hang out with when I get back to Hawaii! All that from a desert oupost, halfway round world. Not to mention I can stay in contact with my kids, my parents, some of my cousins I really dont like. etc. what you did was no sin. LOL! peace 😉
