Montana man, I read this and wanted to jump up and cheer! You describe why I am so annoyed with the both Christian films and music.

I wish you luck with your writing.🙂
Actually, Barbara Nicolosi made you want to jump up and cheer. That was a three-post-quote from her.

Thanks, though. 😉

Every married guy reading that is saying “Yep” and nodding their head. (Except for the online groceries part:confused: ) Nice job on the remodel. Computer desk below that?
(online groceries?!?)

Keep pluggin away, man. You have the talent and just need to focus it. I still stick with my advice to write articles for Catholic newspapers while doing the blog. You’re perfect for that.

Anyway—You actually saw that movie, right? Do you agree with her opinions on how bad it was? It seems to me it still comes down to “If you don’t like it–DO SOMETHING about it.”

By which I don’t mean blow up one of the three or four movie theaters in the entire United States showing the film—I mean make a better one or at least help make a better one by writing something fantastic. She’s supposedly a writer, not just a “screenwriting coach” (which usually means hot air).
Your advice is still good. I plan to do more writing for CatholicExchange, too. They’ll publish anybody’s fiction, apparently.

And yeah, I saw Facing the Giants. I completely agree with Barbara Nicolosi. She’s absolutely right–it’s Evangelical fantasy. But I liked elements of it precisely because of that. It was so far removed from reality (despite the fundies’ attempts to make it reality in their own lives) that it was just a nice, bubble-gum story. Chew it up, spit it out. Go do something else with your day.

Ah, see what happens when you read a post, answer children’s questions and watch tv all at the same time.😛 I’ll have to concentrate on just one subject at a time from now on.🙂

I saw the movie last night for the first time…it was very good.
