My husband and I have been married for less than 6 months and he wants a divorce. I love him with all of my heart but his heart his hard and very cold. He is very closed minded. I want to save our marriage and I don’t know what to do. We need all the prayers we can get. 😦

Have you considered speaking with your pastor or going to counseling?

Even if your husband is unwilling, you can still go.

You’ve got my prayers.

Father,
Be with Mari in her time of trial. Lead her to peace and to understand Your Will at this time.
Amen

Mari,
Without knowing the particulars of your situation I may be completely offbase, but I feel I must speak.
You say that you love him with all your heart, but that must be a two way street. If this man wants a divorce after only 6 months, there is something seriously wrong with his emotional state. This is unlikely to change. Do speak to your priest about this, preferably the same priest who you saw for your pre-cana counciling.
If things don’t improve fast, you may be better served getting the divorce and applying immediately for an annullment. Given his immaturity the length of the marriage, it seems obvious he did not take his vows seriously.

My apologies if this post is off base or offensive to you, but I’ve seen these types of things before.

Peace
James

If that is the case then obviously certain adjustments are necessary in my earlier post. I just assumed she was Catholic.
However, the basic premise remains. It appears that there is a fundemental lack of maturity here and they would be better splitting now than later when there might be children involved.
