I’m not sure if this is the right forum, and I’m sure there are many threads already on this subject. However, tonight I had looked up a book online (** by Kira Peikoff, and I know I shouldn’t have done it because this book is very anti-Catholic, anti-religious and ‘pro-choice’ in general, as the author is the daughter of Ayn Rand’s executor, and all the characters represent values distorted to extremes, especially the ‘Christian’ antagonists, just like in Rand’s work, IMO, but I digress :tsktsk
.
Now as I read some of the reviews for this book, which I have no intention of buying or reading, I saw one person claim that the Catholic Church “even pretends that reason and faith coexist”, or something to that effect. It really just made me :nope: :banghead: and now I’m posting about the experience because I need to rant. Sorry. I know I shouldn’t let random posts on the Internet bother me.
Anyway, when objections like this come up, what could be a defense? How do we prove that faith and reason in fact can and do coexist? Thanks for any answers.
